Plans use deterministic packing heuristics for practical estimating and cut-list organization. They are not guaranteed to be mathematically optimal for every combination of stock, kerf and part constraints.

Cut planners organize user-supplied stock and rectangular part dimensions. They do not determine structural orientation, grade, grain direction, pattern matching, edge support, fastening, code, fire/moisture assemblies, product suitability, manufacturer instructions or safe machine setup.
