How the Project Planner works
Home projects rarely involve one quantity. A room renovation can require paint, flooring and trim; an outdoor project can combine mulch, topsoil, seed, fencing or deck boards. The Project Planner keeps those separate calculator results together without pretending that unlike units can be added into one meaningless total.
Start in a calculator and enter the real dimensions, product coverage, package sizes, waste allowance and price information you know. After reviewing the result, choose Add this plan to project. The displayed result is saved as a snapshot, so the project preserves the quantity you saw when you added it.
On this page, rename each saved calculation so it matches the real work area—for example “Living room paint,” “Guest bedroom flooring,” or “Back garden mulch.” The shopping summary surfaces the strongest purchase-oriented rows from each calculation while the expanded project cards retain the underlying measured values and assumptions you saved.
