Privacy Policy
A plain-English overview of data handled by Home Measure Lab.
Last updated: August 31, 2026.
Calculator inputs
Core calculator math runs in your browser. We do not require an account to use these tools.
Project Planner browser storage
If you use the Project Planner, the project name, optional note and saved calculator snapshots are stored locally in your browser using local storage. Home Measure Lab does not receive that project data. Measurement Notebook records, Interactive Takeoff Builder zones and summaries, guided-workflow completion checkmarks, linked measurement IDs, normalized shopping fields, local unit prices and scenario selections are also browser-local workspace data and are not transmitted to Home Measure Lab by default. Home Maintenance Workspace asset records, model/serial references, due dates, recurring planning cadences and completion history are likewise stored locally in your browser unless you explicitly print or export them. Project Execution Workspace boards, task status, actual material-use notes, issues/punch records and field-log entries are also stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to Home Measure Lab by default. Linear Stock Cut Planner and Sheet & Panel Cut Planner inputs and saved working lists are likewise browser-local and are not transmitted to Home Measure Lab by default. Project Estimator scope notes, itemized quantity/rate lines, contingency settings and actual-cost records, plus Purchase Planner supplier quotes and buying-plan records, are also stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to Home Measure Lab by default. You can remove it with the planner’s Clear project control or by clearing site data in your browser.
Contact messages
If you submit the contact form, we store the information you provide so we can respond and prevent abuse.
Optional analytics
Home Measure Lab may use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate use of calculators, guides, search and Project Planner actions. Analytics is disabled unless it is configured by the site operator and you explicitly choose Allow analytics. The Google Analytics script is not requested before that choice. We do not intentionally send calculator input values, project notes, names, email addresses or other personally identifying information as analytics event parameters.
Your analytics choice
Your analytics preference is stored locally in your browser. If analytics is enabled on the site, you can reopen Privacy choices from the footer and change that preference. Core calculators and Project Planner remain available when you choose Essential only.
Advertising
Display advertising remains disabled by default in the publisher-readiness release. No ad-network script is requested merely because this code is deployed. If advertising is intentionally enabled later, Home Measure Lab will identify advertising as separate from editorial content, reserve layout space to reduce visual shift, publish required seller information such as ads.txt when applicable, and update this policy for the provider actually used.
Advertising consent
Home Measure Lab targets readers in markets including the United Kingdom. Before Google personalized publisher ads are served to users in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the operator must install and test an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The site’s simple analytics choice is not treated as a substitute for that advertising consent workflow.
