Editorial Policy

How we design, review and maintain calculators and project guidance.

Utility before volume

We publish a calculator only when it solves a distinct project problem. We do not create near-duplicate pages solely to target keyword variations.

Visible assumptions

Coverage rates, waste factors, package sizes and other defaults are shown next to the inputs or in the notes. Users can replace adjustable defaults with product-specific values.

Calculation review

Each calculator is tested against hand-worked examples and boundary cases before publication. When a formula changes, the tool and explanatory copy are reviewed together.

Corrections

If you find an error, contact us with the calculator URL, inputs used and the result you expected. Material corrections are prioritized.
