How to measure this project

Measure the wall or ceiling field that may receive treatment and keep different surfaces separate when orientation, mounting or product changes. Enter the treatment percentage only after it has been selected from the room-acoustic plan or project guidance. The calculator uses rectangular face coverage and does not infer effective absorption from square footage alone.

Before you buy materials

Use actual panel face dimensions and the number of panels per box for the selected product. Acoustic rating, thickness, edge profile, fire classification, mounting clearance and placement can matter more than raw area, so confirm those specifications independently. Whole-box rounding should be treated as a purchase conversion, not as a reason to increase the designed treatment percentage.

Frequently asked questions

Does 40% coverage mean my room will have good acoustics?

No. The percentage is only an input. Required treatment area and placement depend on room use, acoustic goals and the selected panel performance.

Can I mix panel sizes?

Calculate each size or product separately, then combine only if the acoustic design permits the mix.

Does the tool include ceiling clouds or air gaps?

No. It uses face area and package count only; mounting geometry and acoustic effects of air gaps remain external.
