How to measure this project

Count cabinet doors and drawer fronts from the actual elevation, order schedule or installed kitchen, then group fronts with similar dimensions. Measure width and height across the face area that will receive the finish product. If upper doors, base doors and pantry doors differ substantially, calculate each group separately and combine compatible material later. Do not infer finish area from cabinet linear feet because two cabinet runs of equal length can have very different door and drawer configurations.

Before you buy materials

Use the actual usable coverage of the selected refinishing film, coating kit, veneer or other area-based finish system. Surface preparation, edge wrapping, grain direction and color matching can reduce reusable material, so apply reserve visibly instead of changing the measured dimensions. If the product is not sold by area, use this result only as a geometry reference and follow the product-specific purchasing method. Compatibility with the cabinet substrate remains outside this calculator.
