Verify roll width against actual cuts.
Measure the film cut dimensions required by the selected attachment method rather than measuring only visible glass. Group windows only when they use the same approximate cut size and film product. For very different window widths or heights, calculate groups separately because an area-only total cannot show whether the roll width creates unusable offcuts.
Compare the required cut width with the actual roll width before relying on the area result. A roll can have enough square footage but still be impractical if it cannot span the needed dimension. Verify film compatibility with the glazing and frame, and follow the selected system's installation and removal instructions. The allowance is for trimming and layout loss, not a substitute for checking roll orientation.
