How to measure this project

Measure the actual insulated face width and height for doors that use the same panel layout and selected insulation product. If a door has glazing, ventilation openings or large hardware zones that materially change the insulated area, handle those separately. Do not combine doors that use different panel systems or products simply to simplify the arithmetic.

Before you buy materials

Use the selected kit's usable coverage and compatibility documentation. Coverage alone does not establish whether the insulation is appropriate for the panel construction or whether added weight affects spring balance, tracks or the opener. Whole-kit rounding can create spare panels; verify whether those pieces can be reused on the actual panel layout before reducing the cut allowance.
