Measure the finished wall run and exposed height. If the grade steps, divide the wall into sections with similar heights and calculate each section separately. Record the dimensions you used and recheck any section that is irregular, tapered or interrupted before relying on the final quantity.
Retaining walls can be structural systems. Verify manufacturer instructions, base depth, setback, drainage, reinforcement and local requirements before ordering or building. Compare the calculated target with the exact package, coverage and availability offered by the supplier, then round only at the final purchase step.
