Measure each straight wall run between meaningful framing breaks. If wall lengths differ, calculate them separately rather than multiplying one representative length. The simple spacing model assumes a start and end stud and evenly sized bays not exceeding the entered spacing.
Do not use this calculator to choose stud size, species, grade, spacing or structural layout. Openings, corners, wall intersections, backing, fire blocking and load paths can change the count. Use the project drawings and requirements to determine those details, then use the quantity result as a purchasing check.
