How to measure this project

Measure the finished concrete diameter and height for one column or pier, then use the quantity field only when all columns share those dimensions. Keep footings, caps and bell-shaped bases as separate volumes. If a cardboard form is specified by nominal diameter, confirm its actual inside dimension when precision matters.

Before you buy materials

Volume does not determine structural capacity. Use the quantity only after column dimensions, reinforcement and foundations are established by the project requirements. Check bag yields, ready-mix minimums and placement access. For large columns, compare the cubic-yard result with supplier practices rather than relying only on bag counts.

No. Footings, caps and enlarged bases should be calculated separately.

Can this size a structural column?

No. It only calculates concrete quantity from dimensions you supply.

What if my columns have different heights?
