Measure the plan area using the closest simple shape and enter the material layer depth separately. For irregular projects, calculate several simple sections and add their yardage. Use quantity only for sections with identical dimensions and depth.
Cubic yardage is volume only. Concrete, gravel, soil and mulch have different delivery minimums, compaction behavior, moisture effects and ordering practices. Use the material-specific HML calculator after finding generic yardage when weight, bag count, waste behavior or product coverage matters.
