Measure the centerline length of each planned fence run and total the segments that use the same panel width. Enter total gate opening width separately. Corners, changes in grade and multiple disconnected runs may need additional posts beyond the simple panel count.
This tool plans panels and posts only. It does not include rails, pickets for site-built fencing, concrete, fasteners, post caps or gate hardware. Local setback, utility-location, property-line and permit requirements should be checked before installation.

Questions
Not automatically. Gate width is removed from panel coverage, and the Extra posts field lets you add gate, corner, end or other layout-specific posts.
The calculator rounds panel quantity up because material is still required for a partial final span. Whether an offcut can be reused depends on your fence system.
No. Concrete depends on post size, hole diameter, depth, soil and local requirements. Use a separate volume calculation based on your actual post-hole geometry.
