How to measure this project

Measure the finished top run that receives one compatible cap or coping product. Separate walls with different widths, profiles, corner systems or end conditions because they may use different units. Record the installed module length rather than relying only on a nominal product name; mortar joints, dry-stack details or proprietary interlocks can change the effective linear coverage.

Before you buy materials

The calculator counts standard compatible cap units and optional package groups. It does not choose wall cap width, overhang, slope, drip detail, adhesive/mortar, waterproofing or corner/end units. Review the actual product layout before adding a waste reserve, especially where many cuts or color blending may be required. Special pieces should be listed separately when their price or coverage differs from standard field caps.

Frequently asked questions

Does this calculate corner cap pieces?

Not automatically. Special corners and end caps should be counted separately unless they use the same standard-unit basis.

Should I use nominal cap length or installed module length?

Use the installed linear coverage appropriate to the selected product and joint/detail.

Does the result include mortar or adhesive?

No. Bonding and waterproofing materials are separate takeoffs.
