How to measure this project

Identify the two edges that are actually parallel and measure each along its full length. Then measure the shortest perpendicular distance between those bases. Do not substitute a diagonal side length for the height. For landscape beds, rooms or slabs with only approximately parallel edges, divide the shape into simpler measured pieces when higher accuracy matters.

Before you buy materials

Trapezoid area is useful as an upstream measurement for flooring, concrete, landscaping or roofing, but the material calculator still needs its own waste, depth, product coverage or package rounding.
