Measure driveway length and average width. If the drive widens near the garage or road, split it into sections. Use the compacted design depth provided for the aggregate layer. Record the dimensions you used and recheck any section that is irregular, tapered or interrupted before relying on the final quantity.
Bulk aggregate density and compaction vary. Ask the supplier which density or tons-per-yard factor they use and whether delivery minimums apply. Compare the calculated target with the exact package, coverage and availability offered by the supplier, then round only at the final purchase step.
