Break beds, paths and driveways into simple shapes and use an average depth only when the layer is reasonably consistent.
Use the right depth and density
Depth drives volume, while stone density drives tons. Supplier values matter because aggregate type, grading and moisture change weight.
Account for compaction and handling
Use the calculator allowance only as a planning input. Loose delivered volume, compaction and site conditions can change the final order.
