Estimate the developed route from the distribution point to each fixture group, following the actual framing path rather than a straight diagonal through the building. If run lengths differ significantly, group similar runs or calculate them individually and add the resulting footage. Record vertical rises, drops and service loops where they are genuinely part of the layout.
PEX diameter, manifold strategy, support, bend radius, thermal expansion, pressure loss, hot-water delivery and code requirements are design issues outside this quantity tool. Use coil lengths and tubing type from the exact product selected. A large coil may reduce couplings but can create more leftover material, while smaller coils may fit purchasing or handling constraints better.
