Measure the actual floor footprint and separate spaces with different products or labor conditions. Enter per-area rates from a current product listing, installer estimate or scenario you want to test. Do not mix a carton price with a square-foot price unless you have first converted it using the carton coverage.
Use the result as a budget comparison rather than a purchase list. Material waste is included in the material line, while labor and removal use measured area by default. Add taxes, delivery, transitions, trim, subfloor repair and other project-specific items separately so the simple scenario does not imply an all-inclusive installed quote.
